YOGA OFFERINGS

  • Monthly Sundays

    Vajrasati Class

Community is at the heart of yoga and although I am leading the class it is our collective effort in showing up in experiencing yoga together that evolves our practice as it ripples out into our lives.

Each month we will explore different topics & techniques that guide us towards the state of yoga. This may be a philosophical teaching or a particular insight into the body which can guide us into a deeper awareness.

These monthly 90 minute classes will run on the first Sunday of every month

09:30-11:00AM at the Natural Wellness Centre on derby road.
I hope these classes ignite insight into yoga and its vast array of teachings.

    Classes are Β£10

  • Weekly Mondays

    Yoga Foundations

These classes are open to those new to yoga as well as those with a regular practice.

Yoga foundations will be a workshop style class, you will explore the foundations of physical postures, from child’s pose to headstand.

We will break down postures, giving your body the time to explore without pressure or goals, emphasising mindfulness while safely moving in and out.

Each week we will have a different focus exploring the philosophy that underpins the physical practice of yoga. Building awareness of our internal experience is as much a part of yoga as the postures.

Come join and have a play and build confidence within your practice.

  • Weekly Tuesdays

    Morning Yoga

I feel super passionate about a morning practice as over the years it’s been such a continuous support to me.

Clearing space for yourself before the busyness of the day kicks in can be a real game changer.

This style of class is suitable for all levels including beginners. It’s a great way to mindfully start your day by dropping into the moment through movement, breath & body awareness.

  • Pranayama Series - a space to breathe

Life can be overstimulating and overwhelming, the simple act of breathing can become something we forget to feel.

Most of us don’t think much about the way we breathe, but it makes a lot of difference to our health and wellbeing both physically, mentally & emotionally.

This class blends traditional pranayama with modern understanding, there will be practices to calm the nervous system, awaken energy, and feel into your version of presence, it is a space to tune into your body, and also learn some science behind the process of breathing too.

Each session incorporates guided meditation, not to silence the mind, but to rest in the moment and meet yourself there.

Learn to map your own breathing patterns and carry these tools into daily life.

This is a gentle space to begin, revisit, or deepen your sadhana β€” your ongoing path of awareness and connection.

    Mondays 5:15-6PM

  • An embodied introduction to the Yoga Sutras

An embodied introduction to the Yoga Sutras

     - a 2 hour workshop made up of movement, philosophy & breathing.

We will start with some movement, exploring asana to help us feel into a sense of spaciousness and receptivity.

Followed by the exploration of 2 teachings from Patanjalis Yoga Sutras

This is for anyone who’s intrigued about bringing these teachings to life in an embodied way, I hope that this helps to make them more relatable and digestible.

This is also for yoga teachers who would like to study this text a little more, maybe you briefly visited it on your teacher training and would like to delve in a little further, for yourself and your students.

I’ve been lucky enough to always be in some sort of a study group since I started practicing 10 years ago, collective learning is an integral part of yoga and, for me has made yoga philosophy much more tangible.

There will be chance for discussion and questions before finishing with a pranayama and meditation practice to help land the words and drop into your experience.

    When - 18/01/25
    Time - 12-2PM
    Where - Hot yoga Nottingham
